The Big Five take off!


In the run-up to the World Cup football, together with ICT distributor Copaco, Sparco has developed “The Big Five” campaign. In this multimedia campaign, the distributor's resellers are invited, via print, direct mail and telephone, to participate in the especially developed online loyalty programme. From January until May 2010 inclusive, each month will have a theme of one of the animals that make up the "The Big Five", with special attention being paid in the final month to the Dutch lion.


By means of a themed campaign, Copaco customers are encouraged to make their purchases from the distributor. Resellers will save for so-called South African Rand when they purchase the products of no less than 10 different suppliers and through products that are configured beforehand by Copaco by means of Copaco's preconfig service. The Rand that are earned can then be exchanged in the gift shop for wonderful prizes, which have a South African and the World Cup football theme. Various gifts have been added to the product range especially for this campaign.


The programme has  especially been created in the design of the Copaco website. Once logged in, customers are kept up to date about competitions, a football tournament and the number of Rand they have saved. The online platform serves as a savings programme, but is also a way of bringing the various suppliers, in a playful manner, to the attention of the resellers.
