Plantronics - Multipoint

The Multipoint programme has been arranged to boost turnover and to encourage the loyalty of Plantronics resellers. Participants in the Benelux, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and Ireland are rewarded for every Plantonics product that is sold. The second objective of the programme is to collect sales information at reseller level. In the past, only wholesale traders and distributors had access to this type of information.

Through single sign-on in the online dealer platform, the resellers have access to the loyalty programme. Web Services was developed to enable rapid data transfer between the databases of Webcentives® and Plantronics. Transactions performed by participants are passed on in real-time from the Plantronet dealer environment to Webcentives®; data transmission in the other direction takes place through SOAP calls.

Participants register their sales using an extensive claim module; Plantronics is able to approve or reject the claims using control tools (audits) in the CMS. This is how Plantronics collects the market information that it deems to be of such importance.

To encourage continued sales of specific products, Plantronics frequently arranges extra points campaigns by region and by customer profile. These promotions are communicated through the website and digital newsletters.
